Home of the Future, Here and Now
One of the biggest trends, perhaps even the bleeding edge of design, is moving towards integrated systems. With modern day computers pushing power ratios approximating “the super computers of yore”, it’s not hard to understand why… But the day will come, when you will walk into your living room and realize: this room needs a renovation, and why not use the same principles of integrated systems?
What you are likely to hear from any home entertainment expert may astonish you. You can control all your functions for the whole house seamlessly. This will likely start with your home entertainment center. This is the kind of project that is easy enough to start on your own, however, when you want to connect your entire house to one network, it will be all about the wiring.

Living green is an increasing thought on all our minds. How does this relate to an integrated system in your home? Sharing of music alone will be made easier by simply accessing those files from one central location in the house. Erasing clutter from our lives, creating a greener environment within the home can and will go a long way towards making your dream home become a reality.
Personal video recorders already allow us to share recorded movies and television shows from room to room. Your integration can continue to grow: controlling home heating, lights, alarm systems, and perhaps even a home surveillance system. Whichever way you decide to further enhance your home network, make sure not to get ahead of yourself.
